Tax / Fiscal Bond Vergi Kefaleti (Fiscal Bond)
A surety bond guaranteeing a taxpayer's payment of taxes, duties or penalties to a revenue authority or customs administration. Frequently required under tax deferral arrangements, VAT refund procedures and customs duty suspension regimes.
Testing and Commissioning Insurance Test ve Devreye Alma Sigortası
Insurance covering equipment damage and liability risks during the testing and commissioning phase of a construction or erection project, when the works are complete but not yet handed over. Added to CAR/EAR as a hot-testing extension; the critical transitional cover in engineering insurance.
Third-Party Liability During Construction İnşaat Üçüncü Şahıs Sorumluluk Teminatı
Liability coverage for bodily injury or property damage caused to third parties (neighbours, pedestrians, vehicles) by the contractor's construction or erection activities. Included in the CAR/EAR policy's liability section or procured as a standalone cover.
Total Loss Tam Ziya (Total Loss)
Either the complete destruction of the insured property (actual total loss) or a situation where the cost of repair or recovery exceeds the insured value, making salvage uneconomical (constructive total loss). The CTL threshold is typically 75–100% of the insured value.
Trade Credit Insurance Ticari Alacak Sigortası
Insurance that protects a seller against the risk of non-payment by a buyer for goods or services delivered on credit. Covers buyer insolvency, protracted default and, in export policies, political risks. In Turkey, trade credit insurance is offered by private insurers and through state-supported Türk Eximbank programmes.
Treaty Account / Settlement Statement Treaty Tasfiye Hesabı
A periodic (typically quarterly) accounting statement exchanged between cedant and reinsurer showing ceded premiums, reinsurance commissions, paid losses and reserves. It nets the parties' obligations and determines the cash settlement amount.
Treaty Reinsurance Treaty Reasürans
A standing reinsurance agreement under which the cedant automatically cedes, and the reinsurer automatically accepts, all risks falling within defined criteria. The cedant does not need to offer individual risks for approval. Major treaty forms include quota share, surplus, excess of loss (XL) and stop loss (aggregate excess of loss).
